Altrusa International of Tacoma is a service organization that supports and promotes health, education and literacy in our community with emphasis on women and children. Our goals are to:
► To educate ourselves on community needs
► Provide community service efficiently
► Provide leadership opportunity
► Nurture membership growth
► Implement successful fund raisers

Providing personal care items for the shelter homes
An annual Christmas Giving Book Tree for children
Collected food for Food Banks
Provided school supplies to children at Tacoma's Tone school for  homeless children
Adopted a room at the Battered Women's Shelter and provided other furnishings
Delivered snacks and certificates to workers during Paint Tacoma Beautiful
Supplied children's books at county welfare offices
Annually give 2 scholarships to college students enrolled in a nursing related field
