The Champaign-Urbana Club are fans of the Foodbank located in Champaign, and serving 11 contiguous counties. In the photo, we are repackaging pasta for families' use. The smaller packages go to local food pantries. The club also sponsors the Foodbank's annual drive held in schools in Champaign, Urbana and surrounding communities. Beside collating materials for distribution, we deliver boxes to the schools for there collections.
Members of the Club in Champaign-Urbana taped, painted, installed switch plates, and furnished the new board and training room for the Center for Women in Transition. Our service to them began in 1985 with a garage sale on their rented property. This year, we replaced a floor and repainted their dining room.
