Mission

District Twelve of Altrusa International provides support to local clubs and the International organization by encouraging service, stimulating growth, communicating information and promoting leadership to Clubs and Members.

 

GOAL: Develop effective communication tools . Utilize technology links.
 
Objective: Communicate regularly with clubs.
Action Plan
  • Continue mailing the Governor's update.
  • Develop and mail Treasurer's update.
  • Respond in timely manner to clubs.
 
Objective: Maximize the use of the DSB.
Action Plan
  • Continue focus for each DSB.
  • Publish 6 issues of the DSB plus 2 calls to Conference.
  • Encourage clubs to submit articles to the DSB.
 
Objective: Increase the use of technology for communications.
Action Plan
  • Update and improve the website.
  • Place the DSB on the website.
  • Gather and use email addresses.
  • Offer technology training at District Conference.
  • Provide "Tech Talk" column in DSB.
  • Broaden exposure by linkage to other websites both internal and external.
 
GOAl: Provide leadership development and personal growth opportunities.
 
Objective: Provide leadership development sessions at Conference.

Objective: Encourage applications to Foundation Grant for vocational Asst, job training and employment assistance.

  • Write articles for the DSB.
  • Acquire individual criteria and publish in DSB.
  • Provide recognition of recipient.
  • Include in Leadership Workshop.
 
GOAL: To increase membership through retention and growth.
 
Objective: Increase diversification in clubs
Action Steps
  • Create and maintain a data base that includes age/classification.
  • Highlight membership in each governor's update.
  • Highlight in Tattler column.
  • Write 2 articles for the DSB during the biennium.
 
Objective: Continue membership recruitment efforts to increase net membership by 10% each biennium.

  • Help bring at least 2 clubs up to charter strength.
  • Provide membership support at visitations.

Objective: Retain at least 90% of membership each year/each biennium.

Objective: Increase participation in International Letha H. Brown Award.

  • Include information packet at visitations.

  • Encourage clubs to utilize shared vision.
  • Utilize literacy tag for vision and media Web site.
  • Assist clubs in developing and implementing plan/ABC boxes.
  • Provide Public Relations training at conference and workshops.
  • Provide image building articles for the DSB.
