Altrusa International of Lebanon
donated a small library and book cart to the Lebanon Police
Department on October 27, 2009 for their 2009 Make a Difference Day
Project.
The project was taken on by the club after hearing that the new jail
needed to have a small library facility available for the patrons of
the jail in order to pass all of it’s accreditation standards. The
club presented a refurbished book cart and a collection of about 30
books to Chief Mike Healy and Lieutenant Ben Silverman. The jail is
part of the new Lebanon Justice Center that opened in July of 2009. |
