Altrusa International of Clark County
Library Service Award

Library Service Award 2010 Dinner Registration

The Library Service Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of a library program or library employee in Clark County. The award began in 2001 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Clark County club which was chartered in 1951. Each year the committee gathers nominations from the library community, including public, private and school libraries. A panel of judges including two Altrusans and a library representative from outside Clark County choose the top nominees and the winner.

The committee plans an event banquet complete with a keynote speaker to present the honor to the winning nominee and recognize the runner-ups. The winning nominee is presented with a perpetual plaque, a small personal trophy and a check for $1,000 to be used in his or her library.

The focus of Altrusa International is literacy and the Clark County Altrusans believe that libraries are an integral part of the literate society. It is our pleasure to honor outstanding library employees.
